Rubyfruit Jungle .

Message par LastNerdStanding »

Excellent livre.

Danger, destiny, and romance on the river.
A wilderness kayak adventure brings together two very different women—Chaz Herrick, a laid-back outdoorswoman, and Megan Maxwell, a workaholic news executive. As they battle the challenges of nature for survival, they discover that true love may be nothing at all like they imagined.

Gretchen Kaiser is a workaholic corporate honcho with issues – she’s got daddy issues, she’s got female-executive-in-a-man’s-world issues, and she’s got one night stand issues. What she doesn’t have are love issues. She isn’t looking for it, she doesn’t feel she needs it, and she doesn’t expect to find it…certainly not right under her nose. Kylie O’Brien is the kind of girl who believes in true love and is willing to wait until it shows up at her door. Her best friend Mick would sweep her off her feet given the chance, but Mick doesn’t make Kylie feel the way true love should. And now Kylie has to worry about her new boss – Gretchen Kaiser’s icy reserve makes life as her administrative assistant a challenge. It doesn’t matter one damn bit that Gretchen is extremely attractive with a voice as rich and smooth as melted chocolate. It absolutely doesn’t…

Major Hayden Caldwell plans to escape the restrictions of her job for a rare few days of freedom when she and Emily are forced into the fight of their lives. Together, Hayden and Emily face death, disease, despair, and imminent death, and find in themselves and each other the strength to deny the tsunami two more victims. But can their intense bond survive outside of the extreme situation in which it was forged?
Uncharted Passage is the story of two women who face one of life’s deadliest challenges and find their hearts forever changed.

Burnt out from the emotionally grueling practice of family law, attorney Kate Brennen decides to take a mental health break and joins a corporate firm. Except for occasional annoyances (like her boss’ insistence that she take on his brother’s messy divorce case), the change is just what the doctor ordered. And the substantial salary increase and 9-to-5 schedule gives her more time and money for her preferred pastime: shopping for antiques.
On one such outing, Kate meets Annie Walsh, owner of the small shop, Treasured Past. Although she’s barely making ends meet, Annie finds struggling to keep her shop open preferable to dealing with the turmoil of her personal life. The women become friends and before long they are sharing much more than their passion for antiques. All signs point to a happy ending—until Kate learns something surprising about the client she's been forced to represent...

Despite their initial wariness, the women find their budding friendship snowballing toward romance. The idyllic mountain resort is the perfect setting for them to learn to rebuild trust, and perhaps to find a second chance at love. However, when Parker’s past resurfaces, Campbell is forced to face her own hard truths. As barely healed wounds reopen, the unexpected obstacles in their path threaten any hope for a future together.

The Paying Guests - Sarah Waters
Griottesurlegateau a écrit :
Par contre,
Fantasmagorie a écrit :
A part The Paying Guests justement.

With wounded soldiers all around her, Major Logan Sharp doesn't have time to pamper some photographer from stateside. What spare energy she does have goes to worrying what she'll do when she ships home from Afghanistan. Home—for Logan, the word means nothing. But photographer Jillian Knight is not what she expects, and certainly not what she needs complicating her last tour.

She knows it'll be rough, but Logan Sharp's dedication and competence is reassuring. Jillian finds herself looking forward to her encounters with the intriguing military doctor, understanding that by-the-rules demeanor is a must for surviving in a land where life is cheap.
Under the pressures of danger and conflict, the intense feelings of comrades threaten to overwhelm their good sense, but they follow the rules. After a single heart-stopping kiss, they do the only thing they must—say goodbye. Keeping in touch is not part of the plan, but when their paths cross unexpectedly more than a year later, abiding by the rules is suddenly much harder than they ever expected.

We love You Charlie Freeman

We love you Charlie Freeman de Kaitlyn Greenidge Image
